Improved Performance with the Velocitek Shift

Before wind shifts used to be tracked with wet notes, all types of tricks or even by trying to remember, but we’ve all seen the problem with those. Sure, some sailors get it really accurate, but for the rest of us, there’s now a much easier way to get the best results, even if you’re racing.

The Velocitek Shift has become the new have to have item for sailors from around the world as it just makes things so much easier. Not only doesn’t it allow you to keep track of the wind, but it helps you stay on track as well. On top of that, it comes with a durable design, large display and only includes the information you need while you’re sailing. On top of that, it has easy to use big buttons and can be adjusted within split seconds.

The design process started by interviews with professional sailors, allowing the development team to get on the right track from the very beginning and create an item that has the features that are really important. As some might know, these professional use various methods to keep track, which usually consists of rather complicated math, which is exactly what the Shift replaces, allowing you and those pros to keep focused on sailing and not just the technical details.

Reference Angles

Have you ever seen how complicated it can be to keep track of reference angles? If you have, you’ll know how convenient it would be to have a device do it for you. That’s right, there’s no need to try and remember or keep track while things are simply going wild on the boat.

Now, you just need to press a single button on the side and set a reference angle, which splits the screen and even includes an indicator so you can see when you’re going off-course. The best part is, it’s not only of those simple ones that simply tell you which way as the Swift includes the degrees you’ve gone off-course, making it a lot easier to get back on track or even set a new point.

The reference tracker works by subtracting the change from the angle you’ve set it at and displayed both at the same time, meaning you don’t even need to remember the angle as it’s always shown on the screen as you move your way forward. If you change course, you’ll know about it and you’ll know exactly how far and which way to go and get back on track.
On top of that, it comes with a 9-axels sensor that can keep track of the angle you’re sailing at, ensuring the device is always 100% accurate, no matter how you change course or what the boat is doing.

Additional Features

To make things even easier, the Swift comes with a backlight in red, making it easy to see as night and no, it won’t drain your battery either, thanks to the small solar panel built into it at the top, meaning it recharges as you sail.
